About the Role:

As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our business. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll contribute to strategic planning, manage team performance, and uphold high standards of customer service. Your responsibilities will include supervising staff, optimizing operational processes, and fostering a positive work environment. With your leadership and management skills, you'll help drive business growth and maintain our commitment to excellence. 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and achieve business goals. 
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow across the restaurant team. 
  • Manage and support department heads or team leaders, providing guidance and leadership to achieve performance targets and deliver exceptional customer service. 
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures that uphold organizational standards and compliance requirements. 
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, professional development, and team engagement. 
  • Act as a liaison between team and management, facilitating communication and resolving issues promptly. 
  • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. 
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to recommend strategies to stay competitive. 
  • Uphold company values and ensure adherence to health, maintenance, safety, and regulatory standards. 
Requirements for Success: 
 
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorates that may be constantly changing 
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evening, and weekends and travel as needed for work related functions and training
  • Must be ServSafe certified or willing to obtain certification 
  • 2+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • New restaurant opening experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
